Your Appointment

Your appointments are set aside for you one on one with your health practitioner. Please be on time for your appointments, as if you are late, this time cannot be make up as it compromises the practitioner’s schedule and has a domino effect on the remaining scheduled clients.

Payment Policy

We require payment in full at the time of all appointments. We accept cash, cheques, MasterCard & Visa credit cards as well as EFTPOS. A HICAPS facility is provided to allow you to claim your private health fund extras rebates at the time of your appointments so you will only need to pay the gap. If we cannot claim your health fund rebate, you are still required to make payment in full. When requested, we can provide you with a tax receipt for you to claim directly from your health fund or insurance company.

The following applies to all accounts:

  • An account fee of $8 is chargeable on all accounts not paid within 24 hours.
  • All accounts not paid within 14 days, a late payment fee of a minimum of $10 up to a maximum of 1.5% will be charged to cover administration costs.
  • If after another 14 days payment is not met, the invoice will be passed onto debt collectors with the full costs associated being added to your final invoice.

If your cheque is returned from the bank, this will be treated as non-payment & an account will be created as above. In this case, a returned cheque fee is normally charged by the bank to us and this cost will be added to your account as well.

Late Cancellation / Non-Attendance Policy

Missed appointments and those changed or cancelled at short notice inconvenience other clients. This practice requires a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or change your appointment; otherwise the full fee will be charged. If we can fill your appointment with another client or you can come later when we have a free time slot, you will not be charged. A full fee is charged for non-attendance. These fees are payable within 7 days, otherwise an account arrangement will be set up as above. Please note: private health funds and insurance companies do not pay for late cancellation / non-attendance fees – these fees will have to be met by you.

Clothing Policy

The main method of diagnosis and treatment during an osteopathic consultation is through the use of our hands. As such, sometimes it is beneficial that you partially undress to your underwear during your visits. This is always optional, so please let your health practitioner know if you are uncomfortable with this. Gowns can be provided that open at the back when necessary and we are happy to treat with your clothes on if required.
